“Who’s calling…?” is a lyric poetry microfilm that pays tribute to contributors in Singapore’s arts and culture scene (i.e. those with the calling). It also hopes that more Singaporeans heed the call to action to be part of ensuring that our heritage is passed on to future generations.

With references to the works of Singaporean pioneers such as poet Mr Arthur Yap and playwright Mr Kuo Pao Kun, as well as childhood places such as the now-beheaded dragon of Haw Par Villa, “Who’s calling…?” challenges one to delve deeper into contemporary issues such as human disconnection in an era of digital connectivity, struggles with identity, loss of Mother tongues, disappearing cityscapes, and the dead making way for the living.
