HO YEAH FESTIVAL:
SINGAPORE'S FIRST CANTONESE & HAKKA FESTIVAL
PROJECT DIRECTOR (2018)
“Ho Yeah Festival” is the first-ever Cantonese and Hakka themed festival aimed at inspiring fellow youths to connect with their roots. Graced by Minister Josephine Teo and Senior Minister of State Mr Chee Hong Tat, this ground-up youth initiative was made possible with the support of 18 organisations and over 100 youth volunteers. Lined with a whole range of exciting programmes, Ho Yeah Festival attracted over 1,000 members of public.

PROGRAMME CO-HOST (2020)
The "Ordinary Objects with Extraordinary Stories" programme is a collaboration between the National Heritage Board and Singapore Heritage Society (SHS). In her capacity as co-investigator for SHS' two-year research project on historic places of worship in Telok Ayer, Tanjong Malang and Tanjong Pagar, Lynn shared about the unique stories of historic places of worship in Singapore and the roles they play in society through a series of ordinary everyday objects.

Silver Friends Chinese New Year Carnival (11th Feb 2017) is jointly organised by the Central Singapore Community Development Council, People’s Association, Leng Kee CCMC, Team Young NTUC Volunteers, SMU Rotaract Club and NTUC Health Silverace Senior Activity Centres.
We reached out to a total of 170 senior citizens from Lengkok, Bukit Merah, Redhill, Telok Blangah and Whampoa, and engaged 96 youth volunteers. Besides wonderful performances by p.L.a.Y!, Lengkok SAC, Bukit Merah SAC, and Lengkok CC, the feeling of nostalgia was in the air as we relived the Professions in early Singapore with specially designed carnival game booths and fashion parade featuring Majie, Samsui Woman, Pawnbroker, Orang Laut, Getai Performer, Kachang Puteh Man, Satayman, and Mata-Mata!

“New World, New Life” Exhibition
(落地生根,开拓新家园)
CURATOR & RESEARCHER (2018)
The “New World, New Life” Exhibition is the biggest and longest multi-sensory exhibition ever held in 33 years of Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations (SFCCA)’s history.
Curated to commemorate Singapore Bicentennial in 2019 and pay homage to our forefathers, the 260-square-meter-exhibition is opened daily from 11.30am to 6.00pm to the public from 19 November 2018 until 28 April 2019 at the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre Level 1 Ho Bee Concourse.
Visitors include diverse profiles, including distinguished guests such as President Halimah Yacob and Minister of Education Ong Ye Kung.

“Teachers at the Heart of History” Exhibition

As part of the bicentennial commemoration, “Teachers at the Heart of History” exhibition was curated for National Institute of Education (Singapore) Visitor Learning Centre to remember the contributions of teachers as well as reflect on the role of education in Singapore’s rich and storied history.

BICENTENNIAL WALKING WORKSHOP
CURATOR, RESEARCHER & TOUR GUIDE (2019)
To commemorate the Singapore Bicentennial, the Singapore Heritage Society (SHS) conducted a four-part walking workshop series developed based on SHS’s two-year research project on 21 historic places of worship in Telok Ayer, Tanjong Pagar and Tanjong Malang. This project was supported by the National Integration Council, National Heritage Board, Our SG Fund, and Singapore Bicentennial Committee.
Participants were guided by SHS researchers, Lynn Wong and Fauzy Ismail, to places of worship to understand how custodians of these sites view their history, their needs, as well as the challenges for sustaining their communities.
This was followed by a discussion workshop facilitated by Dr Chua Ai Lin, Executive Director of SHS, introducing concepts relevant to the theme and group discussion by the participants.

29 Sept 2019: Between skyscrapers & MRT: Historic places of worship in Tg Pagar & Tg Malang
This walking workshop focused on the theme of land use and development and the challenges faced by four places of worship amidst rapid urban change.

27 Oct 2019: Life and soul: Historic places of worship in Telok Ayer
This walking workshop in Telok Ayer focused on how six places of worship have tried to create vibrancy and stay relevant in modern Singapore.

24 Nov 2019: Continuity and succession: Historic places of worship in Cantonment & Bukit Pasoh
This walking workshop focused on the theme of succession in the historically-continuous communities at these four places of worship.

29 Dec 2019: Culture and Memory: Historic places of worship in Ann Siang and Kreta Ayer
This walking workshop focused on how custodians of these places of worship transmit cultural knowledge and social memory across generations.

Student Docent Training
for “New World, New Life” Exhibition (落地生根,开拓新家园)
SCRIPTWRITER & LEAD TRAINER (2018 - 2019)
Scripted and conducted dramatised guided tour training for 136 secondary one and two students from Dunman High School, River Valley High School, Nan Chiau High School, Xinmin Secondary School, Anderson Secondary School, and Queensway Secondary School.
These student docents guided over 2,000 primary and secondary school students from January to April 2019.
Selected student docents also guided distinguished visitors such as the Minister of Education Mr Ong Ye Kung (official launch on 18th November 2018) and the President of the Republic of Singapore Mdm Halimah Yacob (7th February 2019).
